Home of Hope and AMG's ch ildcare centers are providing for children throughout the Philippines The Philippines is a country where many live in extreme poverty.
Among those are children, and for more than 25 years now AMG has
ministered to needy boys and girls in many areas of the country,
expressing the love of Christ to them and giving them an opportunity
for a better future.
One of the highlights of AMG's ministry is the Home of Hope Orphanage, which began in the early '80s in a humble building. Now the campus includes seven buildings and houses 60 children. Home of Hope provides for orphaned, abandoned, abused, and neglected Filipino children. The children are cared for in a loving family environment and taught Christian values.
In addition to having their physical needs met, these precious children
are given the hope that comes from knowing our Savior, Jesus Christ.
AMG's child development ministry has 40 childcare centers throughout the Philippines.
These centers provide desperately need food, vitamins, clothing, help
with education, medical assistance, and Bible studies to destitute
children. As a part of this ministry, over 3,000 malnourished children
are fed and cared for daily. The children's ministry has the added
blessing of bringing the parents to Christ, as they experience the
compassion of Christ for their children's physical needs.
The Handumanan Childcare Center is in the poorest area of Bacolod City.
Children come from houses with walls made from just worn out sheets or
tablecloths with all kind of holes. It is not unusual for the father to
abandon the family and the mother to try to carry on and care for the
children. The nutritio us meals and loving care they receive at AMG's
childcare centers are so important.
It
is only through the faithful support of loving Christian sponsors that AMG is able to provide food, clothing, medical care, an education, and
share God's love with these boys and girls.
Please pray for the ongoing need for more sponsors who will provide much needed care to children who are brought to us; we cannot turn them away.
